Disneyland!

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess named Aliea Rose. Here she is getting ready for the Grand Ball! Her maid (and everyone else) thinks Aliea Rose is the best princess ever.

Honey, Honey, how you thrill me, uh-huh!

What a beautiful family!

Joseph Smith in Liberty Jail

This is what Grandma Dorsey learned about in Sunday School today:

The Prophet, Joseph Smith, and some other very good men were put into jail by wicked men. They had to stay there for months. It was dirty and cold, and they had only two very tiny windows. They couldn't even stand up straight, and they didn't get very much food to eat. They were in jail, and they hadn't done anything wrong.

It was a terrible place to be. We wouldn't even want to go there for a few minutes.
But do you know who Joseph Smith talked to while he was in that terrible jail. Of course, he talked with Heavenly Father. Do you know what he wanted most? What he wanted most wasn't for his life to be better. What he wanted most was for Heavenly Father to bless the people he loved, -- his family and friends, and the members of the Church -- and to keep them safe.
Heavenly Father and Jesus loved Joseph, and Jesus gave him special revelations. You can read some of them in the Doctrine and Covenants. See especially sections 121 and 122.
I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of the Lord, like Thomas S. Monson is today. Learning about Joseph Smith can help you know how much Heavenly Father and Jesus love us, and that they blessed us all by sending Joseph Smith to be a prophet.
